My grandchildren's mother is dead.

With the understanding that addiction is a disease and the realization that we are powerless over it as well as over people's lives, we are ready to do something useful and constructive with our own.

Then, and only then can we be of any help to others.

As many have said here, no words suffice for your loss. Your grandchildren are very fortunate they have you, your son and other family members who care so deeply for them and about their future well-being. Thank you for sharing with us--please remember also to get some rest, to take care of yourself too. *hugs*

Nothing to say to make this better.

May you have the love and strength you all need in this terrible time and in the years to come.

Glad the kids got to be with people who love them so and with each other. What a gracious gift. They and you all will be in my thoughts.

Ronni,
I am so so sorry for the loss of your Grandchildren's Mom. Wow..... So sad.. It really is inspiring to know that they have their Dad and you at this terribly tragic time.
So sorry! (((HUGS)))

I draw strength from every one of you, and I appreciate more than I can say your kind words and support.

This is one of the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with. My own loss pales in comparison to what those sweet, innocent girls and their other Grandparents have to face. The visitation and service is today...I've posted about that too.

I imagine I will need you all just as much as the days progress, as we all just continue to put one foot in front of the other, and move on.

Thanks so much for being here.
My son's addiction is something that happened TO HIM. It is NOT something he did TO ME.
