Another one lost

Post by Faith36 » Thu Nov 24, 2016 2:14 pm

This Thanksgiving is very sad for a family who has lost another loved one
to this horrible disease. There is no comforting his sister who is so overwhelmed
with grief that she herself does not want to live. He did not deserve to
have his life end this way. In a house with other addicts and dealers who
worried about themselves before calling 911. He lived with me and my ex
ALO for a few months 3 years ago. He was a kind man who loved
to read. It was 3 years ago today that he came to my home for
Thanksgiving dinner with his sister, my step-daughters, my ALO and
grandchildren. It was a good day for all of us. That night my ALO asked
if he could stay with us since he had no where to go. This Thanksgiving
Day I have decided to stay home by myself for some very much needed
me time. I pray for my loved ones going through this horrible loss.
I pray for all the families who have lost loved ones. This time of
year with the holidays are hard for many people. I pray for the homeless.
I pray for all the addicts who have not found their way to the rooms
of NA and recovery.

I pray that the loss of our loved one on Monday will open the eyes of
my ex-ALO. He has a lot of medical conditions and pain, but justifies
using for it. I have told him that his daughters would be devestated
if he ends up like their uncle. He says he wants off the stuff....I pray
this time he means it and takes the steps and grabs his HP's hand.

I do believe Ron is finally at peace and is pain free. RIP
will forever be loved and never forgotten!

I am thankful for this forum and all of you! Happy Thanksgiving! I hope
it is a peaceful day for you!

Please pray for my loved ones to help them through their grief!
