I don't know if this is the place for me anymore.

Up until last week I had something to talk about .. something to post about.
Now, it's over .. my daughter is dead so what's the point anymore?

Dear Angela -I would think This place is for you if you can come on, talk about how you're feeling, talk about your thoughts, your grief and know that it's a safe place with no judgement and only love and prayers will be sent your way.
Although I can't begin to imagine your pain, there are others on here that can.
If you do decide that this isn't the place for you I hope that you find a comfortable place with you can share your grief.
Always with love.

Dear Angela,

I am very sorry to read about the loss of your beloved daughter. It is has always been
my biggest fear and continues to be even though my son is clean and has been for many years.
I fear it for all of the people that I love.

Speaking of which, I sometimes feel that I no longer belong here either. What brought me to
Nar-Anon many years ago is no longer a crisis in my life. I guess what keeps me coming back is
somewhere along the line I learned that Nar-Anon is about how to live a life in peace and serenity.
Not just because of a addict in my life but for all the people in my life and for situations that
may arise.

I can't even pretend to know what you are feeling. The Nar-Anon door is always open whether
you chose to go through it or not.

With much love and huge hugs,
"You don’t think your way into a new kind of living. You live your way into a new kind of thinking." - Henri Nouwen

So sorry. My daughter died over 3 years ago. I was posting on a different board at that time. I quit because I thought, whats the use! Just this week Ive been looking for new boards. I found this one. Its comforting to be with others who understand our journey. Stay connected. Isolation will make it worse. I cant say that it gets better, but time dulls it.

I am so very sorry that this happened to you.....
Here you can say and be what you want.
We will love you until you can love you again.
Come when you want, we are here for you in grief, in happiness, in anger, in acceptance.
love, Susan
This is the easier softer way.....
