text from RAS in half-way house

Post by MATT'S MOM » Sat Jan 17, 2015 5:29 pm

This morning when I woke up, I found a text from my RAS. He is in a half-way house after finishing a stay in jail and then re-hab. He has been there about a month. In his text, he told me that his roommate who had left just last week had died. -- He ended the text with "its crazy" I really is crazy. I have never met the young man who died, I sat and cried -- for his family, for him, for my son who has lost yet another friend/acquaintance and for me. It could have been my son.... I texted him back that are praying for him to stay strong. and that we love him. What more can we do????

It is so sad when we hear these things and the same thought would go through my mind. It could have been my AS.
Prayers to you, your son and the family that lost their loved one.

I know the most dangerous time, in respect to overdosing, is when they've been clean for a while and no longer have tolerance. We all dread getting "that call." Saying a prayer for all our loved ones and everyone affected by this disease.
The only wrong way to work this program is to not work it.
