Jar Candle

Post by roadrunner » Wed Feb 01, 2017 8:39 am

Hi Everyone, I'm downsizing and throwing stuff out. Came across some empty jar candles that I had saved and some tea lights - put the two together for a wonderful Jar Candle. Jar Candles take a long time to burn - can't just start and stop, but tea lights you can. I filled the empty jars 3/4 full of water - maybe a few colorful marbles on the bottom - floated the tea light and lit it - now I have a wonderful candle that is safe and peaceful.
One of my jar candles has the word "Peace" on it - I imagine you can etch another word on another jar but I don't know how - PM me if you know how. thanks Paula p.s. Maybe a mason jar would work.

Hi Thanks for sharing this. I wanted something to put out on the deck in the evening and this sounds great. Plus I'm looking for a hobby to take my mind off things and this is a perfect excuse for a trip to Hobby Lobby. TFS.
