Anti-Enabling Music

Hi everyone....I am trying new and creative ways to deal with my ALO's addiction and the way it affects my life. Using this forum is one step I'm taking. Another is listening to as much inspiring/anti-enabling music as possible. I want more, though, so I need to know: What do you guys listen to when you are sad, angry, grateful, crazy, serene, whatever....What are the tunes that help you through the insanity?

I have a lot of great music I like to listen to when I'm thinking of my ALO. Some is inspiring, but some just expresses my sadness, which I find cathartic . Here are some of my favorites:

-Stand In The Rain by Superchick
-The A Team by Ed Sheehan
-The Rolling Stones: Gimme Shelter and Heartbreaker
-The Needle and the Damage Done by Neil Young

I could go on and on! This is a great topic. I will be interested in seeing the responses.

Tinsley Ellis released an album in 2007 called, "The Moment of Truth." Several of the songs speak about his time in recovery: "Get to the Bottom," "You're Gonna Thank Me, "Tell the Truth," "Shadow of a Doubt." My RAH and I go to see him quarterly at a local AA clubhouse, and he plays "Shadow of Doubt" every time.

I like an oldie but goodie i've been listening to for years. Britney Spears Cinderella and her latest Work B**** the first one makes me realize I'm not going to enable, the second one just motivates me to get something done!
