Peanut Butter Eggs

With the understanding that addiction is a disease and the realization that we are powerless over it as well as over people's lives, we are ready to do something useful and constructive with our own.

Then, and only then can we be of any help to others.

Peanut Butter Eggs

Post by TrishaB » Fri Mar 25, 2016 2:10 pm

Sometimes it's the simple pleasures in life that can turn sadness into happiness.

Another Easter coming up with 2 sons behind bars, but you know what? These peanut butter eggs I am eating are delicious!I "should" be wallowing in self pity, crying, wishing things were different, envying the families that don't go through what I do,but instead,I am enjoying these eggs.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

I look forward to this time of year just to eat these. :D

My happiness right now is coming from a pocketful of malted milk ball robin eggs!
And yes it's an annual affair :D

My favorite is Peeps. I know you can get them at other times of year now, but they only taste right to me at Easter time! So this week, I'm grateful for Peeps...

Yep, simple pleasures!
I used to make the homemade Easter eggs but not this year. I did; however, grab a bag of the pb eggs at the store the other day.
We are away from home for my Husband's treatments but there is a bag of pb eggs in our cabinet. :)

Enjoy and Happy Easter for those of us who celebrate it!

Such a sweet thread. Thank you.

This is my favorite time of year and my favorite celebration. I fill it with all things colorful and sweet. Lenox window eggs with tiny chicks wearing flowers for hats. Little lamb egg holders. An outdoor banner bearing colorful tulips that blows in spring breezes. A Lenox Easter egg tree that holds baby rabbits, gold edged eggs, tiny flowers and other ornaments. New solar lights and a lit Easter egg light up the night for a week following Easter Sunday. My home is filled with the laughter of whomever comes for Easter dinner and grows silent again when each guest files out the door with leftovers that were all cooked with love for them and whatever little things I've bought for them to add a little fun to their Easter celebration.

Reading this thread enriched my favorite time of year and my favorite celebration. Thanks to all for adding such sweet flavoring with your shares to my celebration this year. Made my smile even broader to read them.
